Fairfield County does not publish an official 24-hour released-inmate list. There is no county sheriff roster, no same-day release page, and no sheriff app with a release feed. That absence reflects Connecticut's custody structure. The Connecticut Department of Correction facility system runs both jail-like pretrial centers and prisons. Bridgeport Correctional Center is a state facility, not a county jail managed by a sheriff. Garner Correctional Institution is also part of the statewide system.
A same-day search therefore cannot start with a list of everyone who left a Fairfield County jail. It starts with the person and the custody lane. Someone may leave a police lockup before CT DOC intake, leave Bridgeport CC after a bond or court action, move between DOC facilities, begin community release, or leave federal custody at FCI Danbury. Each path creates a different record.

Search by CT DOC inmate number when known. Otherwise, use a last name and add first name or date of birth only as needed. Read dates by their exact labels. An Estimated Release Date can change. A Maximum Release Date is not the same as a confirmed departure. Special parole is supervision after physical custody, so its end date answers a different question. When a field is blank, do not fill the gap with an assumption.

Pretrial release in Fairfield County often turns on a court or bond event, not a sheriff release roster. CT DOC Victim Services identifies both “bond out from a correctional facility” and “discharge from court” as accused-status events for notification purposes. After Fairfield Parole Release
A parole date does not always equal a confirmed same-day walkout. The Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles FAQ says a voted-to-parole date is an “on or after” date. As that date nears, Parole and Community Services contacts the incarcerated person and sponsor to arrange pickup or transportation. Release conditions and placement must also be coordinated.
The Board may later modify, offset, or rescind a parole decision if new information, discipline, charges, or other suitability concerns arise. A family pickup plan should therefore rely on direct coordination, not only a date seen in a public result. Once physical custody ends, parole or special parole can continue. The person is released from the facility but not discharged from all supervision.

Fairfield Releases Across Systems
Released and still in custody must be read within the right system. A current CT DOC location indicates state confinement when the record is current. Include the full name, date of birth, CT DOC number if known, facility, approximate custody dates, and the requested release or movement fields. A focused request is more useful than asking for every record connected to the person.
Court visibility has its own limits. The Judicial Branch says conviction information is generally displayed for no more than ten years after sentencing unless a shorter period applies, and public results may change due to erasures, corrections, or pardons. Youthful offender and juvenile cases are not shown. A missing court result therefore cannot prove that no release event occurred. Use the court clerk or originating agency when an official record is needed for a current legal matter.
